I listened to all episodes of Pretend, visited the subreddit and got the feeling that there must be another side to the story. So I decided to give this show a listen and hear what LaDonna and David have to say for myself and make up my mind. Well…I’m three episodes in, and I keep hearing that there will be proof that Pretend made up things or altered documents or edited interviews to fit Javier Leiva’s agenda…but when he does show unedited interviews, it really doesn’t show what he thinks it does. If you go to their website, they say to go to a LinkTree page to see the evidence. The LinkTree page takes you to to a page linking back to their website, their Spotify page, or their TikTok and Twitter accounts. Great job showing the evidence guys! Another fascinating thing was his 10 minute monologue on “fair use”. It’s clear he doesn’t understand the concept of fair use. But it is entertaining to hear someone so uninformed yet so convinced he’s right. In short, it’s a trainwreck. Entertaining for the sheer spectacle of listening to someone talk for an hour without saying anything of substance, with such conviction. I’ll always wonder why this guy simps for LaDonna so much.

There’s a reason why it’s got the worst rating you’ve probably ever seen on a podcast. This person defends an abuser and it’s disgusting. Don’t waste your time.
